India's China War by Neville Maxwell / Henderson Brooks-Bhagat report

In the year 1959, when India granted political asylum to Dalai Lama, the situation further estacalated between China and India which soon resulted in 1962- Sino-Indian War. India faced a devastating defeat and China gained Control of Aksai Chin. The reasons of India’s humiliating defeat is properly documented in Henderson Brooks-Bhagat report.

This report was prepared by two officers in the Indian Army: Lieutenant General Henderson Brooks and Brigadier General Premindra Singh Bhagat and mentioned by Neville Maxwell, an Australian journalist and Delhi correspondent for the Times of London. He posted the 126 pages of the report on his personal website, only to have it taken down briefly afterwards. The Indian government has not officially published the report until this moment as they declared it to be “Highly Classified”.
