After independence the two sovereign countries India and Pakistan have passed through several phases where India was able to maintain the status of a democracy whereas Pakistan has faced many dilemmas. With Special reference to Pakistan the author give suggestions regarding the system of government that can be fruitful in this country. She has talked about democracy and how it can turn into an authoritarian rule, if not applied properly.
